III 1950) and have seen dismal performance with disk performance. Trying to copy a 4GB file locally takes about 90 seconds, and running 'dd' to test disk performance is also very slow. Have you experienced any of these problems? The only difference with our setup is that ESXi is installed on the drives (one server RAID 1 and another RAID 5), not a flash drive. I wouldn't mind going that route, especially once we have our SAS storage solution in place, but for now that's our best setup.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3996701556733417807/8764347975375619224/comments/default/1666561623031795913'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3996701556733417807/8764347975375619224/comments/default/1666561623031795913'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://calvaryshawn.blogspot.com/2008/10/moving-ubuntu-606-lts-virtual-machine.html?showComment=1234967460000#c1666561623031795913' title=''/><author><name>Dustin Travis</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/08178843680728035573</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://calvaryshawn.blogspot.com/2008/10/moving-ubuntu-606-lts-virtual-machine.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3996701556733417807.post-8764347975375619224' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3996701556733417807/posts/default/8764347975375619224' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
